#FabFingsFriday

#FabFingsFriday is our new hashtag to be used every Friday to showcase our very best antique, vintage and pre-loved pieces. Each Friday we will select the best quality items, the most beautiful pieces and the best bargains from the Fab Fings online shop as though a customer had just walked in and said,
'Show me your best items'.

So, here are our best items of the week!

Above is an absolute gem of a vintage find! It's 'deadstock', meaning it's vintage but never sold or used. Lots of small independent shops stash unsold stock away in the back of the stockroom and decades later find it during a clearout. This belt was bought in Spain and still had a tiny paper price tag with the price in Pesetas. This pale purple leather belt with goldtone hardware is as rare as it is gorgeous. More photos HERE.

The bag above has been chosen for #FabFingsFriday because it's probably a collector's item seeing as it originates from the former Soviet Union. The card tag, which has been torn off from the inside of the bag and kept in the pocket, has Soviet iconography and text. The bag itself is made from thick tan leather and is in great condition. You can see more photos and buy this bag HERE.

The Caithness perfume bottle above has been chosen for #FabFingsFriday because it's in perfect unused condition, is the epitome of romantic decor and would make the perfect gift for Christmas. You can see it HERE.

The super fantastic vintage bag above is by Antonio D'Anna of Italy and is made of the smoothest leather you could possibly find....inside and out! Bows are all the rage right now too so this early 80s bag wins all the prizes. You can buy it HERE.

The serving plate above is another Italian piece, the Italians being so good at designing beautiful things. It's just a small serving plate and not even stamped with a maker's mark, but it's been chosen for this week's #FabFingsFriday because it's very sweet, it's in keeping with the current trend for naturalistic decor and it's a perfect candidate for 'use it don't display it'. We at Fab Fings are firm believers in using your best pieces of kitchenware and tableware. So often, lovely pieces are kept stored away in their boxes or in display cabinets, never used as they were intended. Hopefully this Italian serving dish will be bought by someone who will use it to serve grapes or chocolates...or business cards! You can buy it HERE.

Please share this post if you see things you like or know someone who might like them.

Please also use the hashtag #FabFingsFriday if you are a small independent retailer and want to showcase a small selection of your very best or most interesting stock.
