Vintage Pottery From West Germany
With Makers' Marks Identification



This is a catalogue of pieces of vintage mid-century studio pottery made in the former West Germany. All this art pieces have been identified by the makers' marks on the bases and are or were for sale at Fab Fings.


Large 1960's West German Bay Keramik pottery glazed vase. Model 94-40 in mid-blue with an ocher Aztec design around the centre and a fun swirled design border at the base and below the neck.

This is a rare piece of 60s vintage studio pottery fat lava vase made in the former West Germany by Schlossberg. The fat lava glaze is very thick and very textured and the glossy red glaze with studs makes this a very striking piece.


It is stamped on the base 130-30.

Vintage mid-century West German pottery pitcher vase, made by Carstens Artelier. It has the distinctive fat lava glaze that has a very thick mottled appearance and an orange drip glaze. 

This collectible piece is marked '1007-27' on the base, the 1007 referring to the shape and the 27 to the height, although the actual height is 28cm.

This is a large piece of vintage 60s pottery by Carstens Tonnieshof of West Germany. This pitcher vase has a fat lava leaden glaze with a green background and has a dark brown glazed interior. It stands 30cm tall and weighs 1.7kg. 


The base of the vase above states, 'W.Germ 1510-29'.

This is a vintage mid-century studio pottery piece from the former West Germany, made by Eubelacker. It has a deep orange and tan drip glaze and twisted handle. It stands 20.5cm tall and is in excellent condition. 


It still has it's maker's sticker and it's stamped on the base '1855/20'.

This is a vintage mid-century piece of studio pottery by Steuler of the former West Germany. It has a glossy drip glaze in ochre with a mocha background. It stands 20cm tall and is in excellent vintage condition with no damage. 


It is stamped on the base by the marker and with '516-20.

This is a vintage mid-century piece of studio pottery by Dümler and Breiden of the former West Germany. The vase, which weighs 1.4kg, is in excellent vintage condition with no damage.


It is a fairly tall vase, standing 26cm, as indicated by the last numbers in the mark stamped on the base, which says '1057/26'.

This is a vintage mid-century stupid pottery piece by Scheurich of the former West Germany. It is decorated with the distinctive 'Lora Décor' with an intense orange glaze. This handmade piece of history is in excellent undamaged condition.


It is quite large, standing 27cm tall, as indicated in the stam on the base '484-27', along with 'W.Germany'.

This is a vintage mid-century studio pottery piece, made in the former West Germany made Jasba. 


This large brown jug vase has its original tag plus a stamp on the base, which says '169-25'.

This is a collectible and beautiful vintage 60s or 70s mid century pottery vase, made in East Germany by Strehla Keramik & Co. It has an unusual and very beautiful green and metallic leaden silver glaze. 


This studio pottery art piece is stamped on the base '1438' and 'GDR' and it is stamped by the maker.
